Account and Data Deletion Request

This page explains how users of "Native Korean" (available in app stores as "Native Korean: Words & Hangul"; the "App"; developed and provided by HONG JISU (the "Operator," "we," or "us")) can request the deletion of their own account and data.
1. Delete your account in the App (deleted immediately)
- Tap the My Page tab (bear icon, second from the right) at the bottom of the screen, then open "Menu".
- Tap "Delete Account" below your name (shown only while you are signed in).
- To confirm, sign in once more (with Google or Apple). Your account and the learning data saved in the cloud are then deleted immediately.
Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Premium Plan subscription (monthly). Please cancel it from the subscriptions screen of the App Store or the Google Play Store.
2. Request deletion through the contact form (for example, if you have already deleted the App)
Please contact us through the contact form, including the email address of the Google account or Apple ID you used to register (you can also send it from "the My Page tab at the bottom of the screen → Menu → About This App → Contact Us" in the App). After reviewing your request, we will handle it within 5 business days.
Please write "Account deletion request" or "Data deletion request" in the subject. You can choose either of the following.
- Account deletion: We delete the information of the Google account or Apple ID linked to the App, and all learning data associated with it.
- Data-only deletion: We delete only your learning data (progress, bookmarks, etc.), while keeping your account link (sign-in).
3. Data to be deleted
- User identifier (UID), display name, email address, profile image URL
- Learning progress data (such as your progress on the Flower Path, experience points earned, Refill Tickets, your list of bookmarks, and your list of memorized words)
The above data will be promptly deleted from our servers (Firebase) after the deletion request is confirmed.
4. Data that is not deleted or may be retained
- Information such as advertising identifiers that ad delivery providers (such as Google AdMob) process independently is handled in accordance with each provider's policies, and is therefore not covered by this request. You can request deletion from each provider through your device's OS settings (such as resetting your advertising ID).
- If there is a legal obligation to retain certain data, that data may be retained only for the necessary period.
- Data stored only on your device (local storage), such as learning records when you do not use sign-in (Google or Apple), is deleted when you uninstall the App.
